"We were sitting at the table, and there was some loud banging that definitely caught my attention," he said. "In the back of my head I kind of jokingly thought that kind of sounds like gun shots."

"The next thing we saw, everybody started to turn and drop, there was commotion," he added. Guests hid under tables as the Secret Service raced in to secure the safety of "anyone of import," Levi said, including any legislators and cabinet members. "Then things seemed to calm down."

When early word came that the dinner would continue, Levi seemed incredulous. "If it was an actually active live shooting I don't know why we'd be continuing with dinner."

“Welp….the grad invites are sent, the cap and gown arrived, and the last regular day of school is here….I guess the lovely state of denial that I forced myself to be in has to end, bc the reality of time is coming at me like a freight train,” Jamie Lynn wrote of Maddie, 17.

“I know the saying ‘the days are long, but the years are short’ is one of the most cliche sayings, bc it’s said so much, but I now know that cliches are only said so much bc they continue to ring true in every lifetime throughout the test of time.”

She added, “I quickly learned that being a good and competent mother has nothing to do with age. I have met some of the most wonderful amazing moms who are anywhere from 20 years old to 50 years old, so young or old, love is all it’s really about.”

Zoe Saldana's Givenchy Dress Comes With a Ridiculously High Slit

Zoe Saldanaturned heads at the TIME100 Gala in a black Givenchy dress with a thigh-high slit that exposed her legs. The Academy Award winner was one of the four honorees at the star-studded event held at Jazz at Lincoln Center on April 23. She took the stage to honor her family history in her toast.

Zoe Saldana takes on TIME100 Gala in Givenchy dress with super bold high slit

Zoe Saldana opted for a black dress from Givenchy’s Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear 2026 collection. The black velvet, one-shoulder gown featured a dramatic, sculptural drape that cascaded down her frame. A bold, shimmering silver sequin pattern wound around the dress like an abstract lace ribbon. The silver embroidery sharply contrasted the dress’s deep matte black color, catching the light with every step on the red carpet. Further, the daring thigh-high slit on one side added a sense of movement to the heavy velvet fabric.

Saldana kept her accessories minimal to maintain the focus on the intricate details of her outfit. She paired the gown with minimalist black T-strap stiletto sandals and a structured black satin clutch. The sandals were the same as the ones that the runway model had sported for Sarah Burton’s Givenchy presentation at Paris Fashion Week.

Styled by Petra Flannery, the “Avatar” actress opted for jewelry pieces from Cartier. On her ears were the Panthere de Cartier hoop earrings. She was also sporting the Panthere bangle bracelet and the Panthere de Cartier ring. The diamond jewelry added the right amount of sparkle to echo the silver motifs of her gown.

Saldana wore her hair in a sleek, slicked-back bun. The hairstyle highlighted her features and put the spotlight on the gown’s architectural neckline. She kept her makeup minimal and luminous, featuring a neutral lip and soft, earthy tones on the eyes.

Nikki Glaser hosted the TIME100 Gala. Actor and producer Alan Cumming, Olympian Chloe Kim, and WHO’s Intergovernmental Negotiating Body co-chair Precious Matsoso also delivered toasts at the event.
